My March & April Book Haul

Like everything else in my life, I have a hard time keeping up with these hauls. Mostly because it’s really hard for me to remember to catalog all of the books I buy, but also because some months I don’t buy much (as you’re about to see, since most of the novels that I am about to list were sent to me for free).

In the past two months, I’ve been doing a lot of rereading. Rereading doesn’t really require that you buy anything new, ya know? I was also trying to save money for our move (which finally happened about two weeks ago!!) so I was attempting to cut back on frivolous spending. In March, I only bought one book, received two book from authors, and was approved for one ARC on NetGalley. So, I didn’t really see much of a point in making an entire post for a few books. This month, I purchased a few and received some new ARCs or novels from authors, so I figured I’d just join the months together.

After compiling this list and realizing that I only actually bought and paid for 36% of the haul, I wanted to say that I am so grateful that I get the opportunity to receive, read, and review some books for free. I think it’s so cool that the internet has created so many ways for authors and publishers to connect with book lovers like me and that we get the chance to check out people’s hard work (often earlier than the masses and always for free). I’m so lucky that I get to get to be apart of it and I just really wanted to say that because I’ve felt very fortunate lately. If any authors are reading this and you’ve sent me your book (whether it be the Ebook or a physical copy), I wanted to say thank you. I love getting to read something that you put your all into.

Okay, okay. I’m done being sappy. What books did you haul recently? Talk to me (:

  1. I agree! I think it is awesome that you get access to the books and I’m sure that is very valuable to the author as well! It’s definitely a win for everyone!

  2. I need to check out some Taylor Jenkins Reid soon! I don’t think that I’ve bought any new books lately (wow, go me, that rarely happens) but I received eARCS of Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston and All the Worlds Between Us by Morgan Lee Miller.
